清香甘润,别有风味。常吃草本糕,能耐饥渴、长力气,除皮肤疾患,强身健体,是老少咸宜的天然食品。

Herbal Kuehs were once commonly available in Singapore, savoured by our pioneers for its health benefitting properties.

These herbal kueh was one of the health benefitting food brought to Southeast Asia by the Chinese pioneer immigrants. However, due to land scarcity, difficulty of growing these herbal plants and no more huge farming activities in Singapore, this herbal delicacy disappeared in late 1990s as these herbal leaves are no longer easily gotten.

在1960年代, 因为还有农夫种植这种有营养的植物,所以先辈们还能容易地制作这个美味糕点。可是时代变迁,农业淘汰和没有太多土地种植这个草本叶,这个特味的糕点也逐渐消失。

These Herbal Kuehs were lost until now. As of December 2017, our Chefs at Nanyang Flavours collaborated with Sinomega International Marketing, the importer of these herbal leaves, to recreate and make these Herbal Kuehs successfully.
